Matt Dominguez attended Sam Houston State on a scholarship where he was the team’s MVP and the school’s first NCAA division 1-AA All- American. He still holds eight Sam Houston State records and five Southland Football League records. In 2005, Matt was inducted into the Sam Houston Hall of Fame.

After college Matt was a member of the Denver Broncos, and his professional football career took him to the CFL where he starred for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, becoming a fan favorite for 6 seasons.

He retired from football in 2008. Matt has faced challenges and adversity on the field, however, he has not lost his faith and he continues to see all the good that God is doing in his life. Matt met his wife Jennifer at Sam Houston State University and was married in 2003 in Austin, Texas. Matt and his wife Jennifer, and their three children, Matthew, Victoria and Marcel now live in Frisco, TX.
